Hostel ? I’m not sure…
Sometimes we are asked by our guests, what exactly is the difference between our hostel in Warsaw and some economic hotel. There is a long list of the things that you can enjoy in a hostel, which you will never get in a hotel. Usually, hostel is a low- budget acommodation for young travelers. They book a bed in a shared dorm, do not mind sleeping with strangers in the same shared room, share bathroom and tolerate the lack of sleep during the night. Doesn´t sound so good, huh?
“Good hostel” exists !
There is no one element which makes a hostel good, all the puzzles must be put together in order to make your experience unforgettable! Here, you have a wide range of possibilities to choose from regarding your stay!
You can spend the night in a shared room where you are accommodated with people from all over the world who really quickly become your travel buddies! Other options are private rooms with shared or private bathrooms. Other facilities like common area and kitchen are shared between all the guests of the hostel which gives you the opportunity to cook together and share your cultural experience between each other!
The receptionists are ready to help you by explaining the map, showing you the hostel and the city, recommend places worth seeing or just chill-out with you during the evening event every night! The atmosphere of the hostel is really home-like, doing everyday activities like cooking, watching movies, going out together or even doing the laundry creates a feeling of community between the guests.
The biggest power of the hostels is its location which is usually in the city centre – close to all the monuments and best restaurants in the area!
But do not be afraid of any danger, you are protected well thanks to many security devices! The hostel is equipped with lockers for the guests and a luggage storage, cameras monitoring all the entrances and electronic locks. The reception is open 24/7 in case of any kind of problems, the whole hostel is protected by a professional security company just in case of any trouble!
Hostel cheaper than a hotel
Hostels create much more opportunities than hotels. In hostel you can decide between many kinds of rooms, for example from a single room with bathroom to 12-bed dorm with shared bathroom. Additionally, hostels are cheaper than hotels because they do not spend money on lobby, spa, private parking like hotels do. The prices in hotels are much higher as they have huge buildings which need a lot of money for maintance and marketing of the place . In hostels, where more people stay in the same room, less energy is being used and only one room have to be cleaned daily. In hostel you can also cook your own food and in hotel you have to eat in the restaurant as there is no place to prepre food by youself. Hostel focus on different types of tourists, for example by preparing different discounts agreed with local restaurants, bars, taxi, tour operators. Location in the city center means less money and time spend on taxis and public transport.
Hostel offers even more than a hotel
In hostel you can find a lot of things which hotels do not offer, like common room with board games and screen to watch movies together or fully equipped kitchen with coffe machine for free. Hostel offers a lot of things for free, for example access to the computer with internet, luggage storage and evening activities. You can also go to a pub crawls for a small fee. In common area you can find book exchanges, free guides and maps of Warsaw and free snacks and drinks during the day. At the reception desk there will be a friendly receptionist waiting for you who will always help you and talk with you about everything. Hostels are perfect for solo traveller to socialize, meet new friends, spend time together in the room and common area, go sightseeing – in hotels you will never go to the lobby wearing your pyjamas because over there, the atmosphere is much more strict and here you can do it!
Hostel reviews guest’s feedback
Hostels are rated by guests according to its location, cleanness, atmosphere, staff, comfort and many other criteria through various websites, for example Google, Trip Advisor, Customer Alliance or HolidayCheck. Before booking your stay you can chceck opinions of previous guests about the hostel that you are interested in. Some hostels are better than others or even better than hotels because they understnd their own guests and their needs.
Everyone should try the hostel-life, if you are afraid you can do it step by step – first book a private room and in that way you can socialize in the comon area and see how fun it is. Try it and you will never book a hotel again!
